As a counselor educator, I strive to create spaces that are collaborative, critical, and grounded in curiosity. My hope is for students to experience me as someone learning alongside them, rather than positioning myself as an “expert” or authority figure. l invite students to consider how our realities and experiences are shaped by larger systems, examining how systemic oppression shows up not only in our lives, but also in the frameworks we've inherited for understanding them. Engaging in critical inquiry grounded in the awareness of power, privilege, oppression, and intersectionality is one of my favorite ways to learn and grow. My hope is to contribute to more expansive and equitable ways of understanding people, relationships, and the many ways we build meaningful lives.

My approach to education is deeply influenced by the work of bell hooks, Paolo Friere, and Audre Lorde, grounding in principles of critical, feminist pedagogy.
